The Education Group is pleased to
present the Bilingual Middle School Edition of The Video Encyclopedia
of Physics Demonstrations, designed to be supportive of the teacher
and the textbook.
This series of 105 videotaped physics
demonstrations, which have been aligned to state standards and indexed
to your textbooks’ tables of contents, is now mastered to four DVD’s.
Each of the demonstrations is a stand
alone demonstration of a particular aspect or principle of physics,
augmented by state-of-the-art computer graphics, slow motion
photography and animations to enhance the student’s experience.
Reference guides included with the
discs offer the scripts for the demonstrations, formulas,
illustrations, and background information to help teachers best use
the discs; this material is also included on the DVDs. In addition,
for your convenience, the indexes to your textbooks’ tables of
contents are supplied on a CD, as well as in a booklet, as part of the
series.
Thirty-one of the 105 demonstrations
are appropriate for teaching chemistry.
Best of all, The Video Encyclopedia of
Physics Demonstrations takes advantage of DVD technology to provide
teachers and students with an interactive learning tool. Additionally,
and of great importance, these discs have parallel soundtracks and
subtitles in English and in Spanish which will permit students to
listen to the narrations in either language and, if they wish, with
the
assistance of subtitles.
After evaluating this material, if you
require any further information, please do not hesitate to
communicate
with us.
